Khanyi Mbau on Somizi: There's no beef between us
The TV personality addressed rumours that her relationship with Somizi had soured because of money drama.
“Can you clarify that weird story that you owe me money? That we’re no longer friends cause you owe me money,” Somizi asked Khanyi on the show.
“Somizi know’s the type of cash I carry, like on a daily basis,” Khanyi started, going on to say: “[With] Somizi and I it’s never been about money. If I find him at a restaurant, he’ll pay, and vice versa. If I’m at a parking lot and my car is getting washed, I’ll pay [or] he’ll pay, and that’s it. But there’s no beef between us.”
“But we’ve never borrowed each other money,” Somizi added, with Khanyi replying: “No.”
Fresh also touched on Khanyi’s breakup with muso Tebogo Lerole, asking the star how she’s dealing with it. “I don’t know where I am right now. Every day is different,” Khanyi confessed, mentioning that it’s been “tough.”
When questioned about when the relationship had truly ended, Khanyi told the Fresh Breakfast team: “Relationships die, I think, two years before they really die. And when you’re in the public eye they die four years before they really die. I think we had broken up a long time ago, but we still fight the physical.”
