Johannesburg – Nandi Madida brought a taste of Africa to New York when she showcased her ready-to-wear clothing line Colour at New York Fashion Week.
The singer and TV presenter announced in January that she had been invited to the prestigious fashion event.
Sharing clips and pictures from her show Nandi was overjoyed, saying that people from all over the world “love the new collection”.
"A dream come true! I can't believe I showcased at Fashion Week," she wrote in another post.

The 33-year-old singer and actress wore a beaded corset and hot pants combo to serenade guests at the Dorkay Rooftop in Joburg. The all-white outfit made quite an impression, especially as red balloons dotted the venue. SABC slapped with R20k fine after broadcasting #fillupthedome

The Broadcasting Complaints Commisson of South Africa (BCCSA)  has published a judgement that shows SABC1 has been slapped with a R20 000 fine, this after complaints were made of profane language used during the broadcast of Cassper Nyovest’s Fill Up The Dome concert in November. On Friday, the BCCSA stated on its website that the “Material [was] broadcast before the watershed period, [and] considered harmful to children”. “The Tribunal is thus compelled to state that the respondent failed to exercise the necessary precaution prior to the broadcast of #FillUpTheDome concert and thus contravened the provisions of the broadcasting code of conduct.” The watershed period is the period in which it is appropriate to broadcast programming aimed towards mature or adult audiences. According to the South African National Editors’ Forum  this period is between 12:00 and 5:00. However, Fill Up The Dome was aired at 20:00 on 18 November 2017.  On the judgement of the
